Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and required Epic proficiency.

Details

• SICU setting within an oncology-focused hospital environment
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including hemorrhagic and hypovolemic shock, sepsis, septic shock, pneumonia, ARDS, craniotomy, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, intracranial hypertension, and delirium
• Specialized procedures include external ventricular drain (EVD) management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, mechanical ventilation, heated high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30); rotating day/night scheduling is also possible depending on departmental needs
• Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period and are subject to change based on staffing priorities
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• No mandatory break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
