Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a hospital environment
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Caseload includes standard ED patients as well as boarded patients held in the ED
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required within skill set, both onsite and to facilities within 40 miles

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Current AHA-issued certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• MOAB or CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct patient care of ED patients, including those boarded in the department pending inpatient placement
• Local candidates are accepted, but a radius rule applies — candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible at a reduced pay rate
