Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Salida, CO, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit serving adult acute care and swing bed patients
• Night shift schedule: 6 PM - 6 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend is required
• No mandatory overtime, though overtime is permitted
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred

• Provide acute care and swing bed patient care in accordance with evidence-based practice standards
• Responsibilities include health assessment, patient teaching, counseling, and care coordination
• Collaborates with ancillary departments and physician providers to address medical, social, and spiritual patient needs in a culturally and age-appropriate manner
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination in the medical record
