Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in a full range of IR procedures, including neuro and body interventions, for a 13-week contract position.

Details

  • Inpatient hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
  • Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
  • Daily caseload of 13–17 cases
  • Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, neurological studies, and stroke intervention
  • Required proficiency with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment
  • Acuson equipment experience preferred
  • Epic and McKesson EMR experience preferred
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, staggered start time between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, Monday–Friday; the scheduled day off will vary week to week
  • On-call rotation required for evenings, nights, and weekends (primary and backup call)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
  • Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Current BLS and ARRT certification required
  • ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • Neuro IR experience required, including stroke intervention
  • Inpatient hospital experience required
  • Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
  • Experience with the full range of IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, biopsies, drainages, vascular and venous access studies required
  • Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment experience required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform a high-volume mix of neuro and body IR procedures across adult, geriatric, and adolescent patient populations
  • Orientation is one week; candidate must be available for classes each day during orientation week
  • No floating required
  • RTO requests after booking are not permitted and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional time off on unit may result in contract cancellation
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Scrubs are provided
  • An interview with the manager is required prior to any offer being extended
