Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU Float position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a TX or compact RN license, working nights on an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow areas and the ED (for holds)
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, alternating between 3x12-hour shifts one week and 4x12-hour shifts the next (36/48 alternating schedule)
• Scheduled 84 hours biweekly
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float responsibilities include supporting the PCU as well as overflow units and the ED for patient holds
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result will result in immediate cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and during the assignment
