Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and Epic proficiency in a Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (2W) in a Level 1 trauma center with a minimum of 250 beds
• General medical/surgical patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 10-bed unit
• 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend (EOW), every other holiday (EOH)
• Epic EMR used in this position; experience required
• Equipment includes AccuDose, bladder scanner, Philips monitors, and telemetry
• Floating to other Med/Surg units across any campus in the Fargo area as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required (or willingness to obtain)
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Experience in a larger hospital (250+ beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
• All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted
• Active RN license required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing between 61 and 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a local pay rate
• Previous employment at any Sanford Health location must be disclosed; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Badge in/out required at the facility
