Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/Angio position in Hawaii requiring a minimum of 2 years of interventional cath lab experience and the ability to take call.

Details

• Works in an Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular unit
• Performs IR, Vascular, and Cardiac procedures including angiography, cardiac cath, pacemaker and IABP insertion
• Shifts are days with varied times, either 8 or 10 hours, 40 hours per week
• Call is required 1-2 days per week, approximately every 2-3 weekends, and includes holidays
• 4-person call team
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Monitoring system: Sensis
• Equipment: Siemens imaging systems
• 2 labs on unit

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab
• Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and angiography procedures
• Basic understanding of CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures

Additional Information

• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of assignment at the facility's Employee Health office — plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend this appointment Friday morning
• Responsibilities include performing and supporting cath, angiography, pacemaker, and IABP procedures, as well as hemodynamic monitoring
• Role also requires maintaining basic knowledge of radiology equipment and image processing across multiple modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine)
