Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit with a targeted patient ratio of 1:2
• Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilator management
• Procedures and skills used include A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws
• Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available
• Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters, potentially across multiple campuses within 15 miles of the main campus
• Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license — OH or Compact license required (does not need to be in hand at signing)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• Proficiency with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
