Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echocardiographer with at least 2 years of adult echocardiography experience and RDCS or RCS certification for a 13-week contract at a hospital-based cardiovascular center.

Hospital-based cardiovascular center setting
Adult patient population in an acute care setting
4x9 hour day shifts, including weekdays and weekends
Experience with 2D, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble study, strain, 3D, and stress echo required
Epic EMR experience required
No on-call required

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult echocardiography; acute care setting preferred
Associate degree or higher from a 2-year ARDMS-accredited Echocardiography program required
RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required
Current BLS certification required
Epic EMR proficiency required
MA license required if applicable
Ability to recognize abnormal cardiac structures and correlate findings into a complete diagnostic study
Proficiency with ancillary devices including selected transducers
DOB and full Social Security number required for consideration
COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted with documentation

Additional Information

Perform a full range of echocardiographic studies including 2D, M-mode, spectral and color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble studies, strain imaging, 3D echo, and stress echo
Must be able to adapt and develop new imaging techniques when standard approaches are not applicable
Former permanent staff members are not eligible to return to this facility as travelers, regardless of time elapsed since departure
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days during the assignment
Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced pay rate
