Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience and vent/trach competency.
Details
- Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Unit: Chronic Care (LTAC/Telemetry)
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- Vent and trach experience required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for shift accountability and delivery of patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in planning for safe patient care delivery
- Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed
