Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience and vent/trach competency.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• Unit: Chronic Care (LTAC/Telemetry)

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Vent and trach experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability and delivery of patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in planning for safe patient care delivery
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed
