Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Kerrville, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting, located in a newer facility
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
• Patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Telemetry experience preferred but not required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana; a positive result will result in immediate cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
• Kerrville is located in Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
