Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 1 year of recent ED experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00 (7pm–7am)
13-week contract

Requirements

Active Alabama or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted; no hits on license (past or current)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of recent ED experience
Current drivers license required for consideration
Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration
SSN required for consideration
Meditech EMR experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

Local candidates are welcome to apply at the same rates with no radius restrictions
All ED RNs are required to complete an on-site competency test in addition to an online pre-test — a Cardiac Exam will be administered as part of the process
No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation
