Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Sonographer with at least 1 year of sonography experience and ARDMS registration for a hospital-based position in Albert Lea & Austin, MN.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound department serving Albert Lea and Austin locations
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Weekday call required approximately 2x per month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call required approximately once every other month from 5:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• Charting is performed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Ultrasound Sonographer experience required
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
• ARDMS registration required — RVT or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN); candidates must obtain both RVT and RDMS within 12 months, with a third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 18 months if not already held
• Employees providing breast imaging must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Active sonography license required, if applicable
• Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to on-call pager including evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and independent work skills required
• Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards across a variety of imaging equipment and technology
• Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations and shift times as needed
• Must have COVID vaccination and booster for eligibility
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the position requires a minimum of 1 year of specialty experience
