Description
American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist with experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, including angiography, embolization, and neuro/cardiac/vascular surgery, for a 13-week travel contract at a major academic medical center in Boston, MA.
Details
- Large, high-volume IR division within a major academic medical center on the East Coast
- Clinical coverage spans IR, CT-guided procedures, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Hybrid procedures, Endovascular Neurosurgery, and Endoscopic interventions
- Procedures include angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, dialysis access/fistula work, and Y90/SIRT
- Responsibilities include operating all imaging equipment, sterile scrub, and case circulating in both radiology and OR settings
- 13-week contract
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification required
- Valid Massachusetts State Radiography License required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted — license required if applicable
- BLS certification required (AHA only; no other providers accepted)
- Experience in neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery required
- IR experience required, including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, TIPS, dialysis access/fistula work, and Y90/SIRT
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, advanced practice providers, attending physicians, residents, and tech assistants
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced rate compared to the standard travel rate
- No validated parking available at this Boston location; public transportation and public parking lots are available nearby (daily parking rates apply)
