Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department (Night Shift) position requiring 2+ years of ED experience, at least 2 completed travel assignments, and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 certifications.

Details

• Hospital Emergency Department setting with 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Cerner (experience preferred)
• Navy scrubs required
• Coverage for one major and one minor holiday may be required

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or compact RN license with GA privileges required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 triage training
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• At least 2 previously completed travel assignments required
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Directs and coordinates nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices
• Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in the safe delivery of Emergency Department patient care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• This position does not consider first-time travelers — a minimum of 2 prior completed travel assignments is required
