Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical unit, requiring an Alabama or compact RN license and experience with IV starts, wound care, and isolation precautions.

Details

Hospital Medical-Surgical unit setting serving an adult and geriatric patient population
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with an option for 4x12-hour shifts
Every other weekend (EOW) required
Floating required
Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned on an as-needed basis

Requirements

Active Alabama (AL) or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Fit Test required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
Proficiency in IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac required
Level II Trauma experience preferred
Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

A 30-minute lunch break is required — meal breaks may not be skipped
Local candidates are considered; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible for this position
