Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a clinic-based, day-shift position requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Charting in Cerner EMR (experience required)
• No blocked or self-scheduling

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy (chemo) experience required; inpatient experience is acceptable
• At least 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of oncology specialty experience within the past 2 years required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
• At least one supervisory/director/manager reference from within the past year on the relevant unit required; a second reference within the past 2 years from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator is also required

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveling candidates
• No time off (RTO) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot be changed after submission
• Candidates who have previously been employed by this health system must receive facility approval prior to starting the assignment
• Former employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
