Description

American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-Certified RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position at a Level II Trauma Center within a large academic health system, requiring ONS/ONCC certification and Epic experience.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
  • Chemotherapy/Oncology unit with floating to other Med/Surg units as needed
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Charting in Epic (experience required)
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements

  • Active CT or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS or ONCC)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Chemo certification is required for this position
  • Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

  • Level II Trauma Center within a large academic medical health system
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Candidates who were previously permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
  • Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
