Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LTAC/Med-Surg night shift position in Greensboro, NC, requiring vent/trach experience and active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting, Med-Surg unit
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI/RCIS certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or Med-Surg RN experience required
• Vent/trach experience required; central line knowledge required
• Wound care experience preferred
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• All certifications must be valid and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Previous work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during consideration
