Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma facility in Massachusetts, requiring scrub and/or circulate experience across a wide range of surgical specialties including transplants, ortho, neuro, and robotics.

Details

• Hospital-based OR setting within a Level I Trauma facility
• OR West unit consists of 10 operating rooms focused on inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery
• Surgical specialties include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), 40 hrs/week
• Up to 2 weekends per month required, either on-call (7a–7p or 7p–7a on Sat/Sun/holidays) or working shifts
• Short call shift once per week: 3:00 AM–7:00 AM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
• 30-minute on-call response time required
• Primarily based on the West Main campus with potential float to East campus or CVI OR
• Holiday coverage required for any holidays falling within the contract period
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Required certifications must be current and on file
• Scrub and/or circulate experience required across multiple specialties: general surgery, robotics, transplants (kidney required; liver transplant experience preferred), ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
• Scrub experience highly preferred in addition to circulating
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted); COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Candidates must provide interview availability at time of consideration
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays (excluding holidays)
• Parking in the Boston area can cost up to $43/day
