Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a fast-paced orthopedic/post-op unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit (4 West) specializing in orthopedic and post-op surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Day shift, 0645–1915
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license in good standing, with no hits on record
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg, orthopedics, or post-op experience required
• Strong time management skills and a positive, professional work ethic
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Bedside shift report is required at the start of each shift
• Unit is described as very fast-paced, requiring quick thinking and confidence
• Scrub color: Navy
• Artificial nails of any kind (gel, dipped, wrapped, or acrylic) are not permitted
• 13-week contract
