Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a fast-paced orthopedic/post-op unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit (4 West) specializing in orthopedic and post-op surgical patients
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Day shift, 0645–1915
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required on an as-needed basis
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements
- Active AL or compact RN license in good standing, with no hits on record
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg, orthopedics, or post-op experience required
- Strong time management skills and a positive, professional work ethic
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Bedside shift report is required at the start of each shift
- Unit is described as very fast-paced, requiring quick thinking and confidence
- Scrub color: Navy
- Artificial nails of any kind (gel, dipped, wrapped, or acrylic) are not permitted
- 13-week contract
