Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology (IR) unit within a 562-bed, Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Rotating schedule of 5x8s and 4x10s; day shifts running 8:00–16:30 or 7:00–17:30
• 13-week contract
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Floating within scope is required of all travelers, including potential float to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Free parking available with a permit obtained during orientation

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
• Active ACLS and NIHSS certifications required; AHA and Red Cross cards accepted, RQI AHA cards are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of IR nursing experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius requirement
• Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days are subject to facility approval
• Block scheduling availability should be discussed during the interview
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
• Scrubs may be any solid color
