Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an academic medical center in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of one year of OR experience and Level I Trauma experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Nursys verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• An interview is required; candidates should be prepared to provide two weeks of availability
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and communicate patient care plans
• Assesses patient and family education needs and utilizes appropriate teaching materials
• Participates in unit-based performance improvement activities and professional development
• Drug screen results are required prior to start; candidates should expect to report to the lab within 24 hours of accepting an offer
