Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced EP RN for a Cath Lab - Electrophysiology position requiring a minimum of 4-5 years of EP-focused experience and the ability to handle 6-8 cases daily across two active EP rooms.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab - Electrophysiology (EP) unit in the Cincinnati market
• Typical cases include Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT ablations, Permanent Pacemakers, ICD & BiV inserts, Laser Lead Extractions, and Watchman procedures
• Daily caseload of 6-8 cases across 2 running EP rooms
• Equipment used includes CardioLab, MicroPace, and Bovie
• EMR: Epic/Cupid
• Schedule: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (0630–1700)
• On-call participation required for emergency and urgent procedures on weekends, nights, and holidays
• Must be able to respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18+)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 4-5 years of RN experience with a primary EP background required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia/EKG exam (study guides provided; two attempts allowed)
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents: Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Income Tax return, Military Form No. 2058, or W2 from US government)
• Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference required
• Nursys license verification required
• Copy of certifications required

Additional Information

• Functions independently in the roles of scrub nurse and circulator
• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, administration of conscious sedation, transvenous/temporary pacing insertion and monitoring, and intra-aortic balloon pump and impella insertion
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate, plan, and evaluate patient care throughout the episode of care
• EKG/dysrhythmia pass/fail exam administered on the first day; two attempts permitted and study guides will be provided
