Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in North Carolina, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in the state of North Carolina (NC or compact license) required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), CPI, NIHSS
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and communicate patient care needs
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families with complex care issues
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and promotes cost-effective care
• Drug screen results required — candidates should report to the lab within 24 hours of committing to the position
