Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within a Joint Commission Stroke-certified hospital in Richmond, VA
- 44-bed rehab unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Schedule consists of 4 eight-hour shifts within the hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with multiple weekend shifts per month
- May float to the acute care hospital if rehab census is low
- Procedures performed include high-intensity gait training, manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, and functional e-stim
- Equipment used includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Vector, Bioness, LiteGait, RT300, and SCI Fit
- Documentation is performed in Meditech Expanse
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital and inpatient rehab experience required
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Active PT license required if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Role involves evaluation and treatment of patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting with a focus on neurological conditions including stroke
- Candidates are expected to follow AIDET communication standards and immediate service recovery protocols
- Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
