Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position covering the Sacramento, Modesto, and Stockton areas, requiring a minimum of 1 year of home health experience and a valid state license.

Details

Home health setting serving geriatric patients, with cases including wound care and general home health
Coverage territory will be discussed during the interview; travel to surrounding counties may be required
Minimum of 23–24 patient visits per week
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00–17:00)
No weekend or on-call requirements (on-call is discretionary, not mandatory)
Charting completed using Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be done on-site using a facility-provided tablet
Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience as a PT
Valid state PT license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required
No pending licenses accepted; valid license must be in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

Positions available in the Sacramento, Modesto, and Stockton regions (1–2 PTs per region)
Contract length is 4–6 months; less experienced clinicians are required to commit to a 6-month contract, which is non-negotiable
Hiring process includes a phone interview with the hiring team prior to any offer
All RTO requests must be submitted at time of initial consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made
Compliance documentation must be completed before seeing patients, which may take 2–3 weeks
COVID vaccination required; religious declinations accepted. Flu vaccination declination is accepted with documentation
Any color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
Free parking available on-site
Local candidates accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility qualify under local rates
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required, along with a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
