Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a 471-bed acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS with at least 1 year of PACU experience.

Details

• Work in the PACU unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 471 staffed beds
• Patient population includes Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and surgical cases spanning Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints
• Evening shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (1:00 PM–11:30 PM) or 5-shift variation (3:00 PM–11:30 PM)
• On-call requirement of 4 shifts per month (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts)
• Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred)
• Scrubs are provided in teal

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory for all RNs at this facility
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
