Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring 2 years of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in a 7-bed Cardiac Cath Lab unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Shift is days, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00–17:30
• On-call required one day per week (17:30–07:00) and one call weekend every 3 weeks (Friday 17:30 through Monday 07:00)
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Meditech is the EMR in use; experience is highly preferred though orientation may include Meditech training
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
• Experience in circulating, conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Parking is available at no cost in designated employee lots
• All requested time off must be finalized and submitted prior to consideration; no RTO during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 10 days of RTO for the duration of the assignment
• Only one holiday off may be requested
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
