Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience to support a fast-paced oncology-focused Nuclear Medicine and PET department.
Details
- Oncology-focused Nuclear Medicine and PET department within an acute care hospital setting
- Adult and geriatric inpatient patient population
- Scope of work includes PET, general nuclear medicine, cardiac nuclear medicine, and advanced therapeutics including Y-90, Theranostics, Lu-177 Pluvicto, Lutathera, and I-131
- Procedures include gastric emptying, HIDA scan, MUGA scan, PET scan, bone scan (3-phase, limited, whole body), liver imaging, DTPA aerosol, perfusion, ventilation/perfusion, flow/function, renal/perfusion, Lasix, thyroid studies (cancer survey, I-123 uptake), tumor localization (limited and whole body), SPECT/CT (bone, liver, sestamibi parathyroid), and myocardial stress studies (exercise/rest single and multiple, pharmacological stress)
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating after-hours on-call and weekend coverage required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required
- Experience with adult inpatient oncology and nuclear cardiology required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT (N), CNMT, NMTCB, and/or PET certification preferred
- Skills required include drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions, and storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures across a broad oncology caseload, including advanced radionuclide therapies
- Role operates within a fast-paced Nuclear Medicine and PET department
