Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience, ACLS certification, and night shift availability in a rotating weekend/holiday schedule.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• 36-hour work week schedule
• Rotating weekends and rotating holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling available
• Floating to Med/Surg may occur with a 1:7 patient ratio
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation begins on Sundays and includes online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live 100+ miles from the facility
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
