Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry with Behavioral Health position at a short-term acute care hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a Behavioral Health component
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between sister campuses as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Only 1 holiday approval allowed per contract
• Up to 4 days of requested time off (RTO) per contract, subject to manager's discretion
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend their contract up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months
