Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) unit position requiring 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Behavioral Health unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between two campuses of the same health system depending on unit needs
• Epic EMR — experience required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first shift (estimated 4–10 hours)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times, after which a 6-month gap is required before returning
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days typically approved
• Only 1 holiday approval can be accommodated per contract
