Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RDCS-AE certification for a 13-week acute care assignment in an Echo/Vascular department.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level II Trauma designation
• Echo/Vascular Sonographer department with 5 scanning rooms
• Performs adult echocardiography, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies
• Inpatient and outpatient caseload within the hospital only — no floating to other areas
• On-site cardiologist available
• Uses Philips Epiq and IE33 ultrasound machines
• Charting in Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic); Syngo Dynamics and Sectra PACS
• 8-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• Weeknight on-call rotation with a 30-minute callback requirement
• Holiday coverage on a rotating on-call basis; weekend call is rare and only when staff are on PTO
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, with Echo/Vascular experience highly preferred
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• ARDMS or CCI certification required — RDCS-AE and RVT credentials accepted
• Acute care hospital experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs adult echocardiography, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies
• IV insertion not required but preferred for contrast imaging
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
• Orientation is conducted on-site
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; attire must be clean and professional — scrubs are not provided
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
