Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Anderson, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Medical ICU is a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit
• ICU patient ratio is 2:1; Step Down patient ratio is 3:1
• Floating required to sister unit (5S) for Step Down or progressive level patients at a 4:1 ratio
• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure (pneumonia, ARDS, COPD/asthma exacerbations), sepsis and septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurological conditions, complex metabolic and endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure
• Common patient needs include continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, invasive lines (arterial lines), mechanical and noninvasive ventilation, advanced oxygen therapies, titrated IV medications (vasopressors, sedatives, insulin, antiarrhythmics), enteral/parenteral nutrition, and NIH/TNK therapy
• Night shift: 18:00–06:30
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
