Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a 100-bed LTAC facility, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LTAC experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Long term acute care (LTAC) facility setting with 100 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric, short-term post-acute, LTAC, and trach patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20
• Nurse Practitioner on duty Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Ancillary support available: 9 aides on days, 7 on nights
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Schedule options: Mon/Thu/Fri + Tue or Wed/Sat/Sun, or a 36/48 split across Mon/Thu/Fri/Tue/Wed/Sat/Sun
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (standard or compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of LTAC experience required
• Experience at a 400+ bed facility or Level 2 trauma center strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• References from the past year of employment from a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager) required, covering each facility worked during that period
• Current skills checklist for Long Term Care specialty required (valid within one year)

• Provides RN-level care to geriatric, post-acute, LTAC, and trach patient populations
• Strong first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Orientation dates available at the start of the assignment
• Employment history for the past 7 years required, with a letter of explanation for any gaps greater than 30 days
