Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of experience and NRP certification, working night shifts at a robust L&D unit in South Carolina.

Details

  • Work in a robust Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30 (12-hour shifts)
  • Scheduled for 3 x 12-hour shifts per week plus 4 x 12-hour call shifts per 6-week period
  • Floating to other like units may be required as needed
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Current NRP certification required (AHA only)
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis, with delivery of age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care
  • Expected to contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring of novice staff
  • Participates in hospital-system initiatives supporting evidence-based nursing practices
  • Fosters a care environment that demonstrates compassion and respect for patients, families, and visitors
