Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in North Carolina, requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 7th floor of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (NC state or compact license) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and update patient care plans
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
• Drug screening must be completed within 24 hours of accepting the position; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results to be processed
