Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a North Carolina hospital, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 4th floor Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract
• Oncology experience is a plus, but general Med/Surg experience is accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state license currently in hand
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing program
• BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
• Participates in patient and family education, including assessing readiness and developmental level
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Drug screen results required within 24 hours of commitment to the position
