Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Mixed pediatric unit with 18 total beds: 4 PICU, 3 Step Down, and 11 Pedi Med/Surg
  • When PICU census is low, nurses may care for pediatric floor-level med/surg patients or float to the ICN
  • Patient acuity ranges from floor-level med/surg (Level 1) to bi-pap and Q2h interventions (Level 2) to critical care (Level 3)
  • Day/Night rotation, 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active NH or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
  • 2 manager references required for consideration
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Travel RNs should expect variability in critical care patient volume due to census fluctuations
  • Floating to the ICN is possible when PICU census is low
