Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a current NYS RN license, prior travel experience, and MEDITECH proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a hospital environment
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer)
• MEDITECH experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified (completed during orientation)
• Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam and become defibrillation certified within 6 months of employment
• Must be able to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations and demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
• Two references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — must be from within the past year and within the ED specialty
• Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel pay rates
