Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Telemetry unit, requiring Epic proficiency and cardiac drip experience.

Details

Work on a 46-bed Telemetry unit primarily serving observation patients in a hospital setting
Fast-paced, high-acuity unit with telemetry monitoring supported by monitor techs
Patient ratio of 1:4
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every other weekend requirement
Floating required to other Telemetry units
Charting via Epic (proficiency required)
Scrub colors: navy or white

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
ACLS preferred
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
On-site AHA rhythm test required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Experience with cardiac drips required — must have experience with at least 3 of the following 5: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin (note: titration is not required)
Experience with central lines required
IV insertion skills required
Experience with pacemakers required
Experience with insulin pumps required
Candidates must disclose specific cardiac drip experience for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
All time-off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
