Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Neuro-Stroke unit position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a combined Medical/Telemetry and Neuro/Stroke unit (3N) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes general telemetry and neuro/stroke patients
• Average daily census of 28 patients across 37 beds
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Epic EMR used; proficiency is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, Telemetry, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• IV insertion skills required
• Neuro assessment skills at levels 3 and 4 required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Cardiac drip experience required; candidates must have experience with at least 3 of the following 5 drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin
• Flu vaccine required; exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis

• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
