Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring an OH or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of cardiac ICU experience preferred.

Details

• Position is based in a cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at a major academic medical center in Ohio
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts with day/night rotating or straight night options; day shift runs 7:00–19:30 and night shift runs 19:00–7:30
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; Saturday/Sunday for day shift and Friday/Saturday for night shift
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity, with travelers rotated no more than once every 4 weeks
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Required skills include IV start, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz catheter (PA lines), conscious sedation, and intra-aortic balloon pumps

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
