Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA-certified ACLS and BLS.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 34 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatric patients are not assigned to travelers
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Occasional weekend shifts required (same 12-hour shift hours apply)
• On-call required only when understaffed or placed on call
• Floating may include coverage for inpatient holds
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for travel consideration
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Must be able to work in an acute care Med/Surg environment
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility

Additional Information

• Any color scrubs are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required for clinical staff
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• First-time travelers are not encouraged — over one year of experience is required for travel candidates
