Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AZ or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers); case types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekends required on an every-other-weekend basis (same shift hours apply)
• On-call required only when unit is understaffed
• Floating possible to cover inpatient holds
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or relevant healthcare experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
