Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN capability on a night shift schedule.

Details

29-bed Medical Surgical unit serving adult through geriatric patients, with a focus on orthopedic and general med/surg populations
High-volume patient populations include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
Moderate-volume populations include other surgical procedures, inpatient, and 24-hour observation medical patients
Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit
On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
No on-call requirements
Floating required as needed
Charge RN coverage required as needed
EMR: Epic (experience mandatory)

Requirements

Active NC RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Charge RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Additional Information

May serve in a Charge RN capacity as needed during the assignment
All RNs are required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, regardless of specialty — two attempts are allowed
Candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility
Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
13-week assignment
