Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a hospital-based acute care unit in North Carolina, requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg or higher acuity nursing experience.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital acute care unit (3 West)
• Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a compact RN license valid in North Carolina
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or higher acuity nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and update patient care plans
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs for patients and families
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
• Drug screen results are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to report to the lab promptly after accepting an offer
