Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced procedural skills and active IL licensure across multiple UnityPoint Health facilities in Illinois and Iowa.

Details

• Multi-site health system with facilities ranging from Level 1 to Level 4 trauma centers across Illinois and Iowa
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
• Experience with procedures including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Vasoactive and drip medication management including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with titration responsibilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (proof of application accepted if not yet active)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel contract preferred
• Proficiency with advanced procedural skills: chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience managing vasoactive drips and titration
• Valid driver's license required
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the last 12 months
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows
• Local candidates may be considered at select locations with adjusted pay rates
