Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Colorado, requiring an active CO or compact RN license and TNCC certification, working 12-hour night shifts on weekends.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications upon hire: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and TNCC (or TNCC must be obtained within 1 year)
• ENPC or PALS required within 6 months of hire; ENPC preferred
• At least 2 years of critical care nursing experience preferred
• Specialty certification preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include triaging patients and determining priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs
• Performs focused assessments of chief complaints in a timely manner per established triage guidelines
• Duties include moving patients, drawing blood samples, wound care, medication administration, and maintaining supplies
• Patient care is carried out in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and the Nurse Practice Act
• Strong time management skills are essential in this fast-paced environment
